Fine Grinding Four Roller Crusher

 

1.Product Introduction

 

Four-Roll Crusher is a type of industrial mechanical equipment designed for medium and fine crushing operations. It pulverizes materials by generating high compressive and shearing forces through the counter-rotation of four high-strength, wear-resistant alloy rollers. It is widely utilized in sectors such as mining, metallurgy, construction materials, and chemical engineering. The machine is ideal for processing hard or medium-hard materials with a compressive strength of less than 200MPa and a moisture content below 30%, including coke, coal, quartz, limestone, ceramic raw materials, gypsum, and various chemical substances.

 

 

2.Application

 

Its applications are extensive, primarily covering the following fields:

  • Mining and Mineral Processing
    As the initial stage of mineral processing, crushing ore to the required particle size.

  • Building Materials and Metallurgy
    Crushing construction materials such as sand and stone, or reducing material particle size to meet processing requirements.
  • Coal Industry
    Particularly suitable for crushing raw coal (including gangue) in large coal mines or coal preparation plants.
  • Other Fields
    Applicable in cement, chemical, power, and other industries for coarse and medium crushing of brittle materials. Suitable materials include river pebbles, limestone, iron ore, quartz sand, potassium feldspar, and various other raw materials.

 

 

3.Working Principle

 

 The operating principle of the four-roller crusher can be divided into the following stages:

  1. Primary Crushing Stage Materials first enter the V-shaped crushing chamber between the upper two rollers. Primary crushing is completed through the compression and attrition (grinding) effects generated by the counter-rotating rollers. 
  2. Fine Crushing Stage The pre-crushed material drops between the lower two rollers for secondary or even tertiary compression, shearing, and grinding. This achieves a finer particle size; some models can even achieve a "Four-Rollers, Triple-Crushing" effect. 
  3. Granularity Control The gaps between the upper and lower rollers are adjusted via hydraulic or mechanical devices to precisely control the discharge size, ensuring the final product meets fine crushing requirements ranging from 100 mesh to 5mm. 
  4. Overload Protection When uncrushable objects (such as tramp iron) enter the chamber, the rollers can automatically retreat via a spring or hydraulic system. This widens the roller gap to discharge the foreign object, protecting the equipment from damage.

The four-roller crusher offers several key advantages, including a compact structure, small footprint, high crushing ratio (up to 18:1), high 
throughput, and low operation and maintenance costs. By integrating two sets of double-roller systems in series—essentially functioning as two double-roller crushers stacked vertically—it significantly enhances crushing efficiency while minimizing the required floor space.
