1.Product Introduction Rotary drum dryer
The equipment features a horizontal inclined rotary drum structure, with dimensions customized to meet processing capacities of 3–70 TPH. The drum is set at an inclination of 2°–5°, features adjustable rotation speeds (3–8 rpm), and is equipped with an integrated multi-section lifting flight system.
The core design highlights include an anti-sticking internal lining and a downstream drying mode, which effectively solve the industry-wide challenge of potassium feldspar powder clumping and adhering to the drum walls under high temperatures. The system supports multiple heat sources—including coal, natural gas, and biomass—with a hot air temperature range of 300–600°C. Final moisture content is stably controlled below 0.5%, meeting the rigorous standards for high-purity raw materials.
2.Application Rotary drum dryer
Ceramic Industry: Used as a flux for glazes and ceramic bodies; drying improves firing density and color stability while preventing glaze bubbles and cracking.
Glass Manufacturing: Used for the pre-drying of glass batches to reduce melting energy consumption and enhance the homogeneity and transparency of the molten glass.
Chemical Raw Material Preparation: Serves as a precursor for the production of potassium salts (e.g., potassium carbonate, potassium sulfate); drying facilitates subsequent acid leaching or calcination reactions.
Non-Metallic Mineral Deep Processing: Suitable for dehydration treatment after the beneficiation of kaolin or quartz sand associated with potassium feldspar, improving product whiteness and purity.
3.Working Principle Rotary drum dryer
Feeding System: Wet potassium feldspar powder is uniformly fed into the inlet via a screw conveyor or belt scale. A specialized anti-clogging feeding device prevents material "bridging."
Drying Process: As the drum rotates slowly, the lifting flights repeatedly raise and shower the material, creating a uniform "material curtain." Hot air enters from the feeding end (co-current/downstream drying), making full contact with the wet material for efficient heat and mass transfer. The internal walls utilize a special wear-resistant coating and flow-guiding structure to completely eliminate material adhesion.
Gas-Solid Separation: Evaporated moisture enters a cyclone separator + baghouse dust collection system with the exhaust gas. The dust recovery rate exceeds 99%, ensuring tail gas emissions meet environmental standards.
Discharge Control: Dried material is discharged from the outlet and, after cooling and screening, proceeds directly to the milling or batching stage.
