Hazardous waste incineration rotary kiln syste
1.Product Introduction Calcination Rotary Kiln
The Hazardous Waste Incineration (HWI) Rotary Kiln System is a high-efficiency thermal treatment solution designed for the detoxification, reduction, and stabilization of hazardous industrial waste, medical waste, and complex refuse. The core of the system is an inclined, rotating cylindrical kiln lined with high-grade refractory materials. Working in tandem with a Secondary Combustion Chamber (SCC), the system ensures the complete destruction of hazardous substances. The integrated modular design includes feeding, combustion, waste heat recovery, flue gas cleaning, and residue handling. It operates fully enclosed with automated controls, aligning with the highest international environmental standards and "Best Available Techniques" (BAT).
2.Application Calcination Rotary Kiln
• Medical Waste Incineration: Complete inactivation of pathogens and disposal of infectious waste to prevent the spread of disease.
• Co-processing of Oily Sludge & Liquids: High flexibility to simultaneously process solid, liquid, and paste-like wastes.
• Cement Kiln Co-processing: Integration with cement rotary kilns to utilize waste as an alternative fuel, reducing carbon footprints.
• Emergency Disposal: Rapid destruction of toxic substances in the event of sudden environmental pollution incidents to ensure public safety.
3.Working Principle Calcination Rotary Kiln
1.Pre-treatment & Feeding: Hazardous waste is sorted, crushed, and blended before being delivered to the high end (head) of the kiln via a sealed conveyor. Liquid wastes are injected through atomizing nozzles into either the kiln or the secondary combustion chamber.
2. Primary Combustion (Kilin): The kiln rotates at low speeds (0.5–4 rpm), causing waste to move slowly toward the discharge end while undergoing drying, pyrolysis, combustion, and burnout. Temperatures are maintained between 850–1,100°C for initial organic decomposition.
3. Secondary Combustion Chamber (SCC): Unburned flue gases enter the SCC. Under excess air conditions, they are heated to 1,100–1,200°C with a residence time of over 2 seconds, ensuring the complete destruction of dioxins and other Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).
4. Waste Heat Recovery (WHR): High-temperature flue gas passes through a waste heat boiler to generate steam for electricity or heating, significantly improving energy efficiency.
5. Flue Gas Cleaning: The gas passes through a series of treatments: a quenching tower, dry/wet acid removal (scrubbing), activated carbon adsorption, baghouse dust collection, and SCR denitrification, ensuring emissions meet strict regulatory limits.
6. Residue Handling: Ash and slag are cooled and discharged. Some residues can be utilized as raw materials for construction after stabilization, achieving resource recovery.
