1.Product Introduction Rotary drum dryer
This dryer features a horizontal rotary drum structure. Moisture evaporation is achieved through counter-current or co-current contact between hot air and wet materials inside the drum. Its processing capacity spans from 5 TPH to 80 TPH (tons per hour). Parameters such as drum length, diameter, inclination, and rotation speed can be customized based on initial moisture content, final moisture requirements, and particle size distribution to meet various production scales.
2.Application Rotary drum dryer
Ceramic Industry: Potassium and sodium feldspars are essential fluxing raw materials for ceramic bodies and glazes; drying enhances grinding efficiency and firing stability.
Glass Manufacturing: As a component of glass batches, drying prevents the formation of bubbles or cracking during the melting process.
Chemical Fillers: Used in the drying treatment of precursors for potassium and sodium salt production.
Non-Metallic Mineral Processing: Suitable for the large-scale drying of minerals such as quartz sand, kaolin, and various feldspar groups.
3.Working Principle Rotary drum dryer
Feeding: Wet feldspar materials are uniformly fed into the interior of the drum from the inlet end via a belt conveyor.
Agitation: The drum is installed at a slight incline (typically 2°–5°) and rotates slowly (2–8 rpm). Internal lifting flights continuously lift and shower the material, forming a uniform "material curtain."
Heat Exchange: High-temperature hot air (usually provided by coal-fired, gas-fired, or hot blast stoves at temperatures of 300–600°C) makes counter-current or co-current contact with the material, rapidly evaporating moisture.
Discharge & Filtration: The dried material is discharged from the outlet, while the humid air is drawn into a dust collection system (such as a baghouse filter) by an induced draft fan for purification before being released.
Quality Control: Final moisture content can be controlled below 0.5%, meeting the requirements for subsequent milling or batching.
