Heavy duty mineral rotary dryer
1.Product Introduction
The Heavy-Duty Mineral Rotary Dryer is a large-scale industrial drying unit specifically engineered for processing mineral materials with high moisture, large particle sizes, or high specific gravity. Its core structure and operating principle are highly consistent with those of the rotary kiln-type dryer (also known as a drum dryer or rotary dryer). Specifically designed for the mining, metallurgy, and building materials industries, it features high processing capacity, low energy consumption, and exceptionally stable operation.
2.Application
This equipment is widely utilized in mineral processing, cement production, metallurgy, chemical engineering, and building materials sectors. It serves as the core drying equipment for processing mineral concentrates, tailings, and various types of industrial waste.
3.Working Principle
Wet material is fed into the drum from the elevated end, while hot air or flue gas enters from the lower end, creating a counter-current (or co-current) contact with the material. Driven by the drum's rotation and the agitation of internal lifting flights, the material is continuously lifted and showered, ensuring thorough mixing with the hot air and rapid moisture vaporization. Under the influence of gravity, the material advances slowly toward the discharge end. By adjusting the outlet baffle, the residence time of the material within the drum can be precisely controlled, ensuring uniform drying results.
4.Advantages
Processed Materials: Suitable for mineral materials with an initial moisture content of 70%–75%, including iron ore, titanium ore, quartz sand, slag, coal slime, clay, limestone, etc.
Operating Temperature: Generally ranging from 100°C to 300°C, adjustable based on specific material characteristics.
Energy Efficiency Advantages: Compared to traditional equipment, coal and electricity consumption can be reduced by 10%–15%, while hourly production ,output is increased by 10%–15%.
Equipment Scale: Typical models feature drum diameters ranging from 0.6m to 4.8m and lengths from 8m to 40m. the system is designed for large-scale continuous production.
