Raymond Mill
1.Product Introduction
Raymond Mill, commonly translated in Chinese as “Raymond Grinder” or “Raymond Milling Machine,” is a vertical roller milling device. Its typical structure consists of a main unit, classifier, blower, piping system, and finished product cyclone separator. It can be integrated with auxiliary equipment such as crushers, elevators, and feeders to form a complete powder production system. This equipment finds extensive application in mining, chemical, construction materials, and metallurgical industries. It primarily grinds non-flammable, non-explosive non-metallic minerals with Mohs hardness ≤7 and moisture content <6%, such as limestone, calcite, barite, and talc. Finished product fineness typically ranges from 80 to 325 mesh, with select models capable of extending to 400 mesh or even 600 mesh.
2.Application

3.Working Principle
The Raymond Mill operates on the principle of grinding and air classification in a closed-loop system. After preliminary crushing, materials are uniformly fed into the main grinding chamber via the feeding system. Within the chamber, suspended grinding rollers press tightly against the grinding ring under centrifugal force. Scrapers lift the material and convey it between the rollers and ring, where it is crushed by the rolling pressure of the grinding rollers. The pulverized powder is carried by airflow generated by the blower to the classifier (rotary turbine classifier). Powder meeting the required fineness is separated and discharged into the finished product collector with the airflow, while oversized particles are screened out. These oversized particles are returned to the grinding chamber via the circulation system for re-grinding until the desired fineness is achieved.
