1.Product Introduction


Bauxite calcination rotary kiln equipment is a critical industrial unit used for the high-temperature calcination of bauxite. It is primarily employed in the production of metallurgical-grade alumina, high-alumina refractories, and homogenized materials. Its core function is to facilitate physicochemical changes in the bauxite within the high-temperature environment of the rotating kiln shell, thereby increasing alumina content and stabilizing the mineral phase structure.



2.Application


Its applications are extensive, primarily covering the following fields:

  • Mining and Mineral Processing:Used for drying metallic and non-metallic mineral concentrates (such as magnetic, gravity, and flotation concentrates), as well as processing materials like clay and coal slime. It is one of the most common drying devices utilized in mining equipment fleets.

  • Cement Industry:As the core equipment in this sector, it is used for the calcination of raw meal and the production of cement clinker, serving as a critical link in the cement manufacturing process.

3.Working Principle


Bauxite is fed into the kiln from the tail (the elevated end). Due to the inclination and slow rotation of the kiln shell, the material tumbles while moving axially, ensuring thorough contact with the high-temperature airflow. Through this process, stages such as dehydration, decomposition, and sintering are completed, finally resulting in the discharge of clinker at the kiln head.
