1.Product Introduction Rotary drum dryer
An MSW Dryer is an industrial drying system specifically engineered to process domestic waste, organic waste, and other forms of municipal solid waste. Its core objective is to achieve high-efficiency, large-scale reduction of material moisture content, creating the necessary conditions for downstream resource recovery—such as waste-to-energy incineration, composting, or RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) production.
2.Application Rotary drum dryer
Incineration Pre-treatment: Drying municipal waste significantly increases its calorific value, reducing auxiliary fuel consumption during incineration and improving the stability and efficiency of the furnace.
RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) Production: Dried combustible waste is processed to reach standard moisture levels and then formed into high-calorific, uniform fuel pellets or rods used to replace industrial fuels.
Organic Waste Composting Pre-treatment: By lowering the moisture of food and garden waste, the dryer optimizes the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio, accelerating the aerobic fermentation process and improving compost quality.
Sludge Co-processing: It can dry sewage sludge mixed with municipal waste to achieve synchronized disposal and significant volume reduction.
3.Working Principle Rotary drum dryer
The MSW Dryer typically operates on the rotary drying principle.
Feeding: Wet material enters a slowly rotating, slightly inclined cylindrical drum via a feeding system.
Material Dispersion: The internal walls are equipped with specialized lifting flights or "shoveling plates." As the drum rotates, these devices continuously lift and shower the waste, creating a uniform "curtain" of material.
Heat Exchange: Simultaneously, high-temperature hot air (sourced from burners or waste heat recovery systems) passes through the drum in either a co-current or counter-current flow. It makes full contact with the falling material, facilitating efficient heat and mass transfer that rapidly evaporates moisture.
Discharge & Filtration: The dried material is discharged at the end of the drum, while exhaust gases are purified through a dust removal system before being released.
