1.Product Introduction Rotary drum dryer
An SRF (Solid Recovered Fuel) Dryer is a large-scale industrial drying system designed to efficiently process solid recovered fuel. Its primary objective is to enhance the fuel's heating value (calorific value) by removing moisture. Typically utilizing a rotary drum design to meet the demands of large-scale continuous production, the equipment's processing capacity can be customized based on specific project requirements.
2.Application Rotary drum dryer
This equipment is mainly utilized in Solid Recovered Fuel production lines, particularly for processing fuels derived from municipal solid waste (MSW) or industrial waste. Once dried, the SRF features significantly lower moisture content and higher thermal energy, making it an ideal alternative fuel for co-processing in cement kilns, power plants, or industrial boilers. This process facilitates both energy recovery and waste volume reduction.
3.Working Principle Rotary drum dryer
The SRF Dryer generally operates on the rotary drum drying principle. The main body consists of a slightly inclined, rotating cylindrical shell.
Material Flow: Wet material enters from the upper end of the drum, while the dried product is collected from the lower end at the opposite side.
Heat Exchange: Thermal media—usually hot air or high-temperature flue gas—enters from either the feeding or discharge end and exits through the upper part of the opposite end.
Internal Mechanism: The interior of the drum is equipped with lifting flights or paddles. As the drum rotates, these flights continuously lift and shower the material, ensuring maximum contact with the hot airflow to improve drying efficiency and push the material forward.
Integrated Shredding: Some models feature internal crushing blades designed to break down cohesive clumps into smaller pieces. This increases the surface area exposed to the hot air, thereby accelerating the drying speed.
