Gold trommel with centrifugal concentrator
1.Product Introduction Gold Separation Equipment
The Gold Trommel with Centrifugal Concentrator represents the "gold standard" in mineral recovery technology. While a standard trommel excels at washing and sizing, pairing it with a centrifugal concentrator (such as a Knelson or Falcon-style bowl) allows for the capture of ultra-fine "flour" gold that standard sluice boxes often miss. This integrated plant uses a rotating drum to liberate gold from clay and gravel, feeding the resulting fine slurry into a high-G centrifugal bowl. By utilizing centrifugal force up to 60G or 100G, the system forces heavy gold particles into specialized riffles while the lighter waste material is displaced by water pressure, achieving recovery rates of up to 95–98%.
2.Application Gold Separation Equipment
Fine Gold Recovery: Processing deposits where the gold is microscopic or "flaky" and does not settle easily in traditional sluices.
Hard Rock Milling: Acting as the primary gravity circuit for crushed ore coming from a ball mill or hammer mill.
Large-Scale Alluvial Mining: Serving as the "finishing" stage for high-tonnage plants to maximize profit margins from tailings.
Heavy Mineral Extraction: Concentrating other high-density minerals such as platinum, tantalite, or zircon.
3.Working Principle Gold Separation Equipment
Scrubbing & Sizing: Raw material is fed into the Trommel. High-pressure water and internal lifters break down clay and wash the rocks. The screen allows only the fines (typically <2mm to <5mm) to pass through to the next stage.
Slurry Regulation: The gold-bearing fines are collected in a sump and fed into the Centrifugal Concentrator. Precise water-to-solids ratios are maintained to ensure optimal flow.
Centrifugal Separation: Inside the concentrator, a vertical bowl spins at high speeds. The heavy gold is forced outward into the "concentrate grooves," while a counter-current of "fluidization water" prevents the grooves from packing with heavy sands (black sand).
Concentrate Flush: Periodically (or continuously, depending on the model), the spin is slowed or a valve is opened to flush the high-grade gold concentrate for final cleaning on a shaking table.
4.Advantages Gold Separation Equipment
Maximum Recovery Rates: Capable of catching gold particles as small as 75 microns, significantly increasing the total yield per cubic meter of ore.
Reduced Mercury Use: Because the system is so efficient at mechanical concentration, it eliminates the need for harmful chemical amalgamation in artisanal mining.
High Enrichment Ratio: Transforms tons of raw gravel into just a few kilograms of high-grade concentrate, drastically simplifying the final smelting process.
Automated Operation: Modern centrifugal units feature "one-touch" cleaning cycles, reducing the labor required for frequent sluice cleanups.
Compact Efficiency: Replaces long, cumbersome sluice runs with a compact vertical footprint, making the entire plant easier to house and secure against theft.
