1.Product Introduction

 

Magnetic Separator, also known as a magnetic separator or iron remover, is an industrial device that utilizes magnetic force to separate magnetic materials from non-magnetic materials within bulk materials. Its core function lies in efficiently removing or sorting ferromagnetic impurities, finding extensive application in enhancing product quality, ensuring production safety, and facilitating resource recovery.

 

 

2.Application

 

Its applications are extensive, primarily covering the following fields:

  • Mining and Metallurgy: Used for magnetic separation of ores, separating magnetic minerals (such as magnetite) from non-magnetic gangue, serving as critical equipment in mineral processing workflows.

3.Working Principle

 

The working principle of magnetic separators is based on the magnetic differences between various components within materials (primarily ferromagnetic substances). When the material to be processed (solid particles or fluid) passes through the magnetic field established by the equipment, the magnetic substances (or ferrous impurities) within it are strongly attracted by magnetic force. This causes them to adhere to the surface of the magnetic source (such as a magnetic drum, magnetic rod, or magnetic filter screen) or to a designated collection area. Non-magnetic substances, however, remain unaffected by the magnetic field and continue moving along their original path or flow out. This physical adsorption achieves separation between magnetic and non-magnetic materials. In wet separation processes (e.g., mineral slurry), magnetic particles form “magnetic clusters” or “magnetic chains” upon adsorption, undergoing further purification through subsequent mechanical motion (e.g., drum rotation).
