1.Product Introduction

Raymond Grinding Mill (also known as Raymond Mill or Pendulum Mill) is a high-efficiency, energy-saving closed-circuit grinding equipment designed for fine powder production. It is widely utilized in industries such as construction materials, chemicals, metallurgy, mining, and refractory materials. The mill is ideal for processing non-flammable, non-explosive, and brittle materials with a Mohs hardness below 7 and moisture content under 6%, including marble, limestone, calcite, talc, and barite.



2.Application


Its applications are extensive, primarily covering the following fields:

  • Mining: Pulverization of minerals such as barite, calcite, and potassium feldspar.

  • Chemical Industry: Crushing and processing of chemical raw materials.

  • Building Materials: Production of powdered materials required for cement, coatings, fillers, etc.

  • Metallurgy: Preparation of metallurgical auxiliary materials.


3.Working Principle


The Raymond Grinding Mill primarily consists of five core units: the main mill, classifier (analyzer), blower, finished product cyclone separator, and piping system. Auxiliary equipment—including a jaw crusher, bucket elevator, electromagnetic vibrating feeder, and electric control cabinet—can be flexibly configured based on specific production requirements.

  • Main Mill: Comprising the frame, inlet volute, shovels, grinding rollers, grinding rings, casing, and motor, this is the core zone for material pulverization. Under centrifugal force, the rollers press tightly against the grinding ring to crush materials through rolling pressure. Shovels rotate synchronously with the main unit to continuously throw materials into the grinding zone between the rollers and the ring.

  • Classifier (Analyzer): Equipped with a high-precision turbine classifying wheel, it controls the fineness of the finished product by adjusting the rotational speed. Substandard coarse powder automatically falls back into the main mill for regrinding, ensuring exceptional particle size uniformity.

  • Blower: It provides circulating airflow for the system, blowing the ground fine powder to the classifier for grading while maintaining the balance of positive and negative pressure within the equipment to ensure a closed-circuit airflow.

  • Finished Product Cyclone Separator: Utilizing the principle of air-powder separation, it collects qualified fine powder, which is then discharged via the unloader. The purified airflow returns to the blower through the return air pipe, achieving full systemic recycling.


4.Advantages

Featuring a vertical structural design, the system is highly integrated and can independently execute the entire production cycle—from raw material primary processing and conveying to grinding and final packaging. The electrical system employs centralized control, enabling the grinding workshop to operate largely unmanned, which significantly reduces labor costs. Compared to traditional ball mills, the Raymond Mill offers distinct advantages: higher efficiency, lower power consumption, a smaller footprint, and a lower initial investment. Furthermore, it achieves a screening rate of up to 99%, ensuring exceptional particle size uniformity.
