1.Product Introduction mineral grinding equipment


This is a ball mill production line system designed for cement clinker grinding. It is specifically engineered to pulverize fired cement clinker into a fine powder to produce finished cement.
Specifications: Available in various models with processing capacities ranging from 5 to 30 TPH (tons per hour).
Application: Ideal for small-to-medium-sized cement plants or specialized grinding stations.
Operational Note: While this is one of the most energy-intensive stages of cement manufacturing, it remains a critical core process for ensuring product quality.


2.Application mineral grinding equipment

The cement clinker grinding ball mill serves as the core equipment of this production line.



3.Working Principle

Its operation is based on the synergistic effect of impact and attrition (grinding):
Impact: As the cylinder rotates slowly, the steel grinding media (balls) inside are lifted by the liner to a certain height before dropping freely, delivering a powerful impact to the cement clinker.
Attrition: Simultaneously, the steel balls roll and slide within the cylinder, creating a continuous grinding action that gradually refines the material until it meets the required fineness for cement.
The entire system typically operates in a closed-circuit grinding process. The ball mill works in tandem with a powder classifier (separator): after the material is ground, it is fed into the classifier, where the qualified fine powder is separated as the finished product, while the coarse particles are returned to the ball mill for further grinding. This mechanism effectively prevents over-grinding and significantly improves production efficiency.

4.Advantages


  • Superior Particle Morphology Control: Precise regulation of steel ball gradation and grinding time enables the production of an ideal particle size distribution (PSD) within the 3–30μm range. This dual-action control effectively meets the requirements for both early-stage and late-stage cement strength.
  • Adaptability to High-Hardness Materials: It offers a unique advantage when processing difficult-to-grind materials such as sintered clinker (Mohs hardness 6–7) and slag. As a core equipment for the fine-grinding stage, it remains difficult to replace—even by vertical roller mills (VRM).
  • High-Precision Closed-Circuit System: Operating in conjunction with a separator (classifier), the system achieves closed-loop grinding. Coarse particles are automatically returned for regrinding, preventing over-grinding and ensuring stable product fineness. The R0.08 sieve residue can be strictly controlled within ±1%.
  • High System Stability: Characterized by mature technology and reliable operation, the system shows high tolerance for fluctuations in raw material composition and moisture content. It is perfectly suited for small-to-medium-sized grinding stations or specialty cement production.
