1.Product Introduction
A Rotary Drum Dryer for sewage sludge is heavy-duty thermal equipment designed to process municipal wastewater residues. Raw sewage sludge is highly viscous, foul-smelling, and typically contains 70%–80% moisture. Passing through a notorious "sticky phase" during heating, this dryer is engineered with robust internal scraping and crushing mechanisms to safely reduce moisture down to 10%–15%, achieving massive volume reduction and complete sterilization.

3.Working Principle
The dryer operates on a continuous, tightly sealed heat exchange mechanism:
Feeding & Sticky-Phase Breaking: Wet sludge is fed into the rotating drum. Because sludge becomes extremely sticky as it begins to dry, a back-mixing system (mixing dried sludge with wet sludge) or a specialized feeding disperser is used at the inlet to break up the material.
Anti-Sticking & Fragmentation: Inside the drum, a combination of lifting flights, crushing paddles, and self-cleaning chain systems continuously break, shred, and shower the sludge. This prevents the sludge from sticking to the drum walls or forming large, wet-core balls, ensuring uniform contact with the hot drying gases for rapid evaporation.
Discharge & Odor Treatment: The dried, granular sludge is discharged at the lower end. To handle environmental and safety hazards, the exhaust system utilizes a cyclone separator, baghouse filter, and an odor-treatment scrubber (often paired with condensation or thermal oxidation systems) to safely trap dust and neutralize harmful gases before venting.
